Konami's Beastial Fighter is back in Schaumberg Illinois! Jerimiah has some things to say regarding the event and why now is a time to get involved to make a stand and save the series!
Why is Bloody Roar Extreme back at Combo Breaker in 2026 despite stating in the past that it would have a higher chance of coming back only if the pot was at 5K?
After reflecting on it, I decided to instead be grateful that BREX even had a 4K pot to begin with in 2025 and decided to go back to how things started in 2022 by raising a pot for 1K behind the scenes. I also decided to scale back on production compared to last year for better time management (i.e: Photos, the trailer, and the artwork).
Why are you not bringing Bloody Roar Extreme back to Combo Breaker after 2026?
I don't want to be the only person bringing the game to the event and putting new eyes on it. I do not want to experience the duality of having to enjoy myself while also TOing for a tournament of a game I have always won. It's taxing. It's also due to the fact that Bloody Roar Extreme released in 2002, so it's a 24 year old game, and eventually you reach a ceiling with a title that doesn't receive updates like modern fighting games do.
Lastly, I especially do not want to bring it back because I think it's time for Konami to actually do something with the series, whether they re-release the games or announce a new one, it's beyond long overdue. Bloody Roar's 30th anniversary is around the corner for 2027 and with Eighting, the original devs still being around, and Konami outsourcing their main hitters such as Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania and Silent Hill, and 3D fighting games being more relevant than ever with the return of both Virtua Fighter and Dead or Alive, now is the best time to wake the beast back up. I've done all I could for Bloody Roar. I will still love it as my favorite fighting game and 3D fighter.
I've done content on the series since 2018, and have competed for now 5 years. I don't think it's wrong for me to need help bringing Bloody Roar back.
