In what appears to be a hugely divisive move, Fahkumram has found his way back onto the Tekken roster, with the reveal at the end of yet another Pac-man collaboration; appearing to show a 1:1 air-drop from his stage introduction in Tekken 7, as his reveal in Tekken 8. There seems to be very little changed to the character with some suggesting it's the exact same model added to the game, with some extra adornments to mask the limited adjustments to the character.
Fahkumram's design was widely criticised as the portal to unrealistic looking human characters, suggesting Baki was probably the source of inspiration. However long time fan-favourite Bruce, another Thai boxing character has been sidelined and with Josie initially taking up that slot, the arrival of Fahkumram pretty much added the headstone to the grave of that character.
Gameplay wise, the character brought some new input patterns to the game, similiarly with Leroy and Lidia, adding a new playing dynamic to the series. The balancing patch wasn't up to speed last time and whilst not on a Leroy-Japan scale, snowballed the sour taste in the mouths of players, noticing a theme with abhorrent power-creep and allowing the DLC free-reign to dominate the roster via totalitarian battle systems and options that were rarely bettered.
The next trailer for Fahkumram is touted for Combo Breaker 2025 in a couple of weeks, the community are holding their breathe, but for how long? It's not entirely certain.
