NetherRealm Studios has kicked off the Halloween festivities in Mortal Kombat 1 with the launch of the first wave of Happy Halloween Towers. These limited-time events offer players the chance to unlock a variety of spooky skins and other seasonal content.

The first character to get the Halloween treatment is Smoke, who has received two new skins: the purple Insatiable Zombie and the orange Undead Carnivore. Both skins feature a creepy spiderweb accent, giving Smoke a truly terrifying appearance.

While Smoke is the only character available for now, the promotion suggests that more Halloween skins are on the way. Mileena, Johnny Cage, Li Mei, and Reiko are all shown in the promotional images, hinting that they will also be receiving spooky new looks.

The Happy Halloween Towers will likely be updated daily, with new character rewards becoming available as the event progresses. Players will have a limited time to complete each tower and unlock the corresponding skins.

In addition to the new skins, Mortal Kombat 1 is also introducing a selection of Halloween Kombat Kards to customize your player profile. However, there has been no mention of any new Halloween Fatalities, following the controversy surrounding the seasonal finishers last year.
