Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced Tekken 8 Season 3, bringing a new wave of downloadable content to the popular fighting game. The reveal took place during the Tekken World Tour 2025 Global Finals event, where the company confirmed plans for a full season of characters, balance updates, and other additions.
Season 3 is structured around the new Season Pass 3 which goes on sale on February 9 and February 10, 2026 depending on platform region. This pass grants access to four new playable fighters, a new battle stage that will arrive later in the year, and a costume pack named the Aurora Outfit Pack.
Bandai Namco has confirmed the first three characters set to join the roster. Kunimitsu will be the first to arrive in late spring 2026. Following that, Bob is scheduled for a summer 2026 release, and Roger Jr. will be available in autumn 2026. The identity of the fourth character is currently unannounced, but they are expected to launch in winter 2026 alongside the new stage content.
The inclusion of these fighters brings a mix of familiar faces and varied fighting styles to Tekken 8. Kunimitsu returns with a ninja inspired move set, Bob offers a unique blend of speed and power, and Roger Jr. brings a wrestling influenced approach to combat. Fans have responded with excitement and speculation as details continue to emerge.
In addition to new characters, a major balance update titled Version 3.00 is planned for mid March 2026. This update will feature broad balance adjustments across the roster, changes to the ranked system that include a rank reset, and the introduction of an official feedback portal where players can share comments directly with the developers.
The developers have described this next phase as a chance to refine gameplay and respond to community feedback about previous updates. Some reports from media outlets suggest that the direction of these changes will focus on a more deliberate gameplay feel, with an emphasis on fundamentals that reflect the series heritage.
Tekken 8 continues to be supported on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC via Steam, with full cross platform play enabled. The competitive community remains active as the title evolves with live service content, and expectations are high for how Season 3 will shape the future of the game.
